]]> Toyota is going to be investing $1.4 billion in Ontario Toyota manufacturing, which will help to improve the area’s infrastructure and manufacturing sector. Not only will this help Canada stay competitive in the auto sector, but it will also bring 450 new Canadian jobs to the area, while securing 8,000 more. Both Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau celebrated this information, the Canadian Visa Professionals company notes.

Additional Funding Provided

The team at Canadian Visa Professionals was thrilled to learn that the Ontario and Canadian governments were also each providing $110 million. It is this funding that will help improve the auto manufacturing in Ontario and secure Canadian jobs. Toyota also plans to invest $200 million in research and development in the next ten years.

Production Moves

The Cambridge plant will begin building the RAV4, instead of the Corolla, in the future. This plant built Corollas in the past. Both Woodstock and Cambridge will produce the RAV4 in the future. The Canadian Visa Professionals team is thrilled to work hard to help people around the world have an opportunity to move to Canada.

While Toyota originally planned to move the production of Corollas to Mexico, they decided to move to Canada instead after President Donald Trump threatened a border tax.
