Anthaea-Grace Patricia Dennis, the 12-year-old graduate, accepted her biomedical science degree in June. The young prodigy attributes her great educational success to her mom.

 

In her words:

“I am proud of my achievement, but much more, I’m thankful to my mom. One of the main reasons I attended the convocation and walked across the stage was to give a shout-out to my mom and appreciate her effort. Well, that is the main essence of graduation.”

A report from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business stated that Alberta had a vacancy rate of 2.2%, which increased 0.2% between the 2017 second and third quarter. This happened as the area recovered from a drop in the price of oil.

Alberta has a higher vacancy rate than Nova Scotia and Manitoba (both 2.1%) as well as Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Labrador (all at 1.9%).
